How to: Move text from several locations at once (use the Spike feature).
Solution:
Use the Spike feature by pressing CTRL+F3 to cut text and place it into the Spike and then pasting the text to the new location.
1) Cut the text blocks and place into the Spike:
a) Select the first block of text to be moved.
b) Press CTRL+F3.
c) Repeat steps 1)a) and 1)b) for each text block to be moved.
2) Paste the text blocks into the new location:
NOTE: The text blocks will be pasted all at the same time, in the order they were copied to the Spike.
a) Position the insertion point where the text is to be inserted.
NOTE: Make sure the insertion point is at the beginning of a line or surrounded by spaces.
b) Do one of the following:
1] To insert the text from the Spike and clear the Spike, press CTRL+SHIFT+F3.
NOTE: This clears the contents of the Spike.
2] To insert the text from the Spike without clearing the Spike:
a] Type SPIKE.
b] Press F3 immediately after typing SPIKE.
